The traffic enforcement unit is committed to promoting safety and reducing crashes on Catoosa County roads. These deputies receive on going, specialized training and put a variety of technologies to work to promote awareness and enforcement of traffic laws.
Catoosa County citizens are realizing their successful efforts with a 7% reduction in vehicle crashes and a 19% decrease in reported injuries in 2019.
Deputies are working to further reduce traffic incidents caused by distracted driving through education and enforcement of Georgia’s hands-free and impaired driving laws. With feedback and support from the community, the traffic enforcement unit is also increasing driver awareness and compliance with posted speed limits, proper child restraint, school zone safety and other traffic laws.
