Our narcotics investigators are specially trained to handle drug investigations, asset forfeitures relating to drug activity, and also have the ability to assist when needed in other criminal investigations. Our fugitive investigators are assigned to locate and arrest individuals who are wanted by Catoosa County and other jurisdictions. The investigators assigned to fugitive investigations are also deputized by the United States Marshal’s Service and participate in the Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force out of Chattanooga, TN. By being deputized, the fugitive investigators can cross state lines and still have arrest powers.
Our gang investigators maintain a database of individuals who have been validated as being a gang member. Our gang investigators collaborate with other agencies’ gang investigators about any new trends or criminal activity.
